Physical Education

At Hacton Primary School, all pupils have the opportunity to participate in and enjoy a wide range of sports. They have chances to be competitive both individually and as a team, and to use their new skills in a range of extra-curricular clubs. Our pupils take part in athletics, gymnastics and dance lessons, and are encouraged to achieve their own personal best performance. Pupils will develop the determination to win, but show graciousness in defeat.

Our Active Pupils

Knowledge: Our pupils will learn the rules of sport and correct sporting behaviour. Their experience of Physical Education results in a positive and informed attitude towards a healthy, active lifestyle.

My Personal Best

These worksheets ensure that progress over time is recorded for a set of key physical skills. Pupils are more motivated and excited to improve their physical skills and teachers are more keenly focused on curriculum objectives.

Curriculum Planning

Careful curriculum planning ensures that our pupils build on existing knowledge and skills over the course of their Hacton learning journey. This leads to better understanding, knowledge retention and engagement.
